The five years we spent living in Rhode Island proved to be a remarkable adventure for us. The unique perspective on life, and the political culture of the people from this tiny state gave me an abundant amount of material to write about. This is my third book, plus the dozens of columns that I wrote, all based on the time we spent there. In fact, I incorporated some of those columns are in this volume. Like so many regions of the country, the people of the Ocean State think their lives are normal and ordinary, but after you read this book, you may see that perspective a little differently. So kick back, and giggle at some of the behavior that they take as serious.
