Athens is the city of ruins. Rich in history that goes back thousands of years, there are hundreds of excavation and restoration sites all over the city. From the famous Acropolis to monuments, residences and temples, there is one on just about every street. And none of the restorations are complete. In the thousands more years it will take to complete them all, most will become ruins again. Here are some examples and I’ll probably get to post more before the trip is over.
